International Students

Apply for Enrolment

King's Christian College is a registered CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students) College. King's welcomes overseas students into its community and part of the vision of the College is to enhance understanding and goodwill between people of different nations. Currently, students from ten different nations study on our campus. We appreciate the many challenges and difficulties these students face as they become accustomed to learning in a foreign language, as well as all the customs, culture, humour and foods of another nation.

Since the College began over 40 years ago, we have been privileged to host many students from many parts of the world. The College adopts a policy of enrolling a limited number of students from each country at each year level, assisting their integration into their new environment.

All international students are required to gain a good foundation of English prior to commencing their enrolment at King’s. To assist this process, both primary and high school-aged students can enrol at any one of a variety of excellent language schools on the Gold Coast. Primary school-aged students are encouraged to attend a Young Learners program while high school students should attend the High School Preparation courses available. Once a student has acquired the necessary English skills for admission (see our prospectus for more details), they can commence in mainstream school classes. ESL classes (English as a Second Language) are offered to support our international students and they receive up to four lessons each week. The ESL classes work as small group tuition classes with TESOL-qualified staff.

Academic programs are specially designed to cater to the goals and abilities of each student. Students graduating from King's Christian College have the opportunity of continuing their studies in junior college or university. Our school also has links with nearby universities that offer a broad range of bachelor, master and doctoral programs.

King's prides itself on the care and considerate service offered to its students. Overseas students can be hosted by carefully selected families from the King's community. Specialised staff members attend to the pastoral and educational needs of our guests from overseas.

Our friendly staff members are willing to guide and assist our overseas students through the entire enrolment process, course selection guidance, homestay accommodation arrangements and airport pickup.
