P - 3 Resource Centre

The P-3 Resource Centre was opened in 2010 within our Reedy Creek campus. This building houses a collection of thousands of fiction and non-fiction books. The new Infinity Lab is also located in the building.

Meaningful engagement with the world through technology is a valuable skill that is coupled with wisdom, underpinned by Christian values. The Resource Centre is an important component of the school curriculum. Prep – Year 3 students receive weekly Library lessons addressing the promotion and love of good literature and the development of critical literacy skills to equip students with the knowledge to find, use and communicate information.

Students may visit this building during their break times to read, borrow, play chess or be involved in various activities.

The P - 3 Resource Centre opens at 8am and remains open until 4:00pm, however, students will require parental supervision to visit after school hours.

Main Library (Year 4 - 12)

The Main Library opened in 2000, is located in the centre of our campus at Reedy Creek, providing services to the whole school community. Our book collection of sixteen thousand titles is constantly updated and we are at the forefront of the electronic delivery of information.

The Main Library plays an integral part in contributing to a shared sense of community and culture with our school. It enriches the academic life of our students and fosters the pursuit of excellence.

The Centre is set up to be the ideal area for students to research using both books and our online resources, study and use the printing faculties. It also is one of the important social and learning hubs in the College. Areas for chess and reading for pleasure are available within the library.

The after school tutoring program is available for high school students in our Senior Study room, Monday to Thursday afternoons from 3.15pm – 5pm. This program has excellent high achieving past students tutors and is successful in assisting students with homework and assignment work.

The design, flexibility and location of the Resource Centre, make it a positive and welcoming hub that supports the educational, social, and emotional wellbeing of the school community.

The Main Library also houses the IT help desk for all students and staff needs. The adjacent 100-seat lecture theatre has been newly refurbished and will reopened in term one 2016.

The Main Resource Centre is open Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am until 5.00pm, and Fridays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
