Student Wellbeing Officer

About the Role:

The Student Wellbeing team provides individual and group support to any identified student within the school (Prep - Year 11) that are facing challenges around social/emotional wellbeing.

We provide practical support and short term intervention, to increase student overall wellbeing and encourage engagement with external support systems.

There is one part time permanent position available 3 days a week.

About You:

We are looking for a heartfelt, genuine, adaptable Wellbeing Officers to provide support to students and families within our school.

You will be working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve best outcomes for all involved.

Successful candidates must:

  • Ideal for University student studying social work / counselling
  • Be willing to work with the lifespan of King’s Students (Prep - Year 11).
  • Have efficient communication skills to liaise with chaplains, teaching staff, management, parent and external providers.
  • Computer literate
  • Understanding of case management with strong report writing and case noting skills.
  • Be prepared to undergo professional development and ongoing supervision.

Your curriculum vitae should include details for;

  • at least 2 recent professional referees (including your current employer)
  • at least 1 referee who can attest to your suitability to work within the values and culture of an expanding Christian school (preferably from a pastor or minister).

The REEDY CREEK CAMPUS (on the southern end of the Gold Coast) has more than 2300 students on-site, from Early Learning through to Year 12. This campus also includes a Trade Training College.

Our PIMPAMA CAMPUS (on the northern end of the Gold Coast) currently has over 1200 students on-site, from Early Learning to Year 11 in 2023 (with Year 12 being offered for the first time at this Campus in 2024.

King’s LOGAN VILLAGE CAMPUS (in south-west Logan) offers places for students from Early Learning through to Year 6 in 2023 (with the Campus expanding to High School opening in 2024).
