About Susan McLean
Susan McLean is Australia’s foremost expert in the area of Cybersafety and young people. A mother of three, Susan was the first Victorian Police Officer appointed to a position involving Cybersaftey and young people. She took her first report of cyberbullying in 1994 and, since then, has conducted extensive research and completed advanced training in this area, both in the USA and the UK.
A sought-after presenter and advisor to schools, elite sporting bodies, GPs and both State and Federal Governments, Susan is a member of the National Centre Against Bullying (NBCAB) Cybersafety Committee, the Australian Government’s Cybersafety working group and is afforded ‘expert’ status on the Safer Internet Programme Data Base.
Susan has authored resources for the Victorian DET, writes and reviews school Policy and is the author of “Sexts, Texts & Selfies”, the definitive parents’ guide to helping their children stay safe online.
