Last Saturday, our Early Learning Centre hosted a fantastic community event at Darling Park in Yarrabilba. Families and educators came together for a delightful walk around the park, fostering connection and conversation. The day they culminated in a zooper dooper, where everyone enjoyed delicious treats and each other's company. The sun shone brightly, adding to the joyful atmosphere as laughter and smiles filled the air. It was a fantastic opportunity to build community spirit and strengthen the bonds among families and educators. Thank you to everyone who participated and made the morning so special!
Our prep students enjoyed a wonderful transition morning in Year 1! The day began with meaningful morning devotions, setting a positive tone for the experience. Students then explored their future classrooms, discovering vibrant learning environments with exciting resources. The highlight was meeting the Year 1 teachers, who openly welcomed them. The enthusiasm and curiosity displayed by the prep students were inspiring as they imagined their upcoming adventures in Year 1. This morning has sparked their excitement, and they can't wait to join their new classes next year. A big thank you to everyone involved in making it unique!
This year, our Year 7 students had the privilege of attending weekly afternoon teas with Mr. Oosthuizen and Miss Baldwin. These gatherings provided a unique opportunity for students to share their experiences of Year 7, highlighting what they love about our school and suggesting areas for improvement. The open discussions fostered a sense of community and encouraged students to voice their thoughts, which are invaluable for the growth of our educational environment. We appreciate the insights gained during these teas and look forward to implementing ideas that enhance the overall school experience for all students. Thank you to Mr. Oosthuizen and Miss Baldwin for this initiative!
Year 4 Instrumental Music Concert LV
The Year 4 Instrumental Music Concert was held in the College auditorium on Tuesday, 29 October. The concert was the culminating event for the Year 4 Instrumental Music Immersion Program, where all students learn an instrument over the course of the academic year. It was exciting for our budding musicians to perform in their first concert on their orchestral instruments to a live audience of parents, friends and their Year 3 peers. Many audience members commented on how impressed they were with the student's skills and how well they performed in their cohesive ensembles. Our young musicians thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and their enthusiasm for playing a musical instrument was evident. Thank you to many Year 4 parents and friends for attending and our primary music teachers for helping our new musicians on their learning journey.
We look forward to seeing the Year 4 students continuing this journey in the future.

Director of Instrumental Music

LV Neon Night 2024On Monday week 5 we had 3 teams compete at the CSSAQ Primary Team Games. The touch teams travelled to Caboolture and the Netball girls travelled to MacGregor for a full day tournament. The touch teams had some great success through student development and team results, that all students should be proud of. Touch Girls finished 5th on the day with 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. The Touch boys team finished runners up to Citpointe on for an against. The boys went undefeated all day and until the final round where they drew against Citipointe 3-3 meaning they just missed out on the championship. Girls netball saw great development throughout the day, and an eagerness from the coach and players to push for more next year. All students competed exceptionally all day and should hold their heads high. Thank you to the coaches and students for a fantastic day.

Join an Equestrian Team! As a parent ambassador, I'm excited to support new families interested in this rewarding experience. With competitions beginning early in 2025, we should aim to organise uniforms during the Christmas break. Participants must provide their pony or horse; no instruction or lessons will be given. The competitions will feature various disciplines, including dressage, show horses, combined training, show jumping, and potentially eventing. Primary students will compete separately from middle and high schoolers, with opportunities to participate in regional, state, and national competitions.
