King's Class Coordinator Program

The Primary Class Coordinator Program has been running at King's for a number of years, with the aim of building stronger family connections in each classroom and across the broader College community. Each primary class has a Class Coordinator parent, who volunteers their time to support the teacher, and organises ways for parents to get to know one another. New families join King's every year and find it particularly valuable to have someone they can go to who helps them become acquainted with other parents, and find out more about the idiosyncrasies of school life. The College appreciates these amazing volunteers who play an integral part in shaping the caring, inclusive community that we strive for at King's.

2020 has been an unusual year in the life of this program, as parent engagement and social events have remained very limited. However, our Class Coordinators have remained actively involved in supporting parents and teachers remotely to ensure their class parents are informed and connected in our school community. Assistant Head of Primary, Jason Knight, and King's Year Level Coordinators hosted a small event this week to thank these volunteers for their efforts this year.

We are seeking expressions of interest from any primary parent who would like become a 2021 Class Coordinator, and once classes are decided early next year, we will be able to allocate these roles. If you are interested, please complete the form below:
