Book Week Wows With Wearable Art
Since 1945, schools and public libraries have been celebrating Book Week as an important opportunity to highlight and celebrate books. King's participates in the inspirational week as way to foster a love of literacy, and this year the main library offered Andy Griffith activities each day during break times, incorporating the incredible life-size treehouse, while our Book Fair also ran throughout Weeks 2 and 3.
Book Week 2020 was themed Curious Creatures, Wild Minds and culminated with a Book Character Dress Up Day at King's on Friday, 30 October, where we were wowed by the wearable works of art! The dazzling display of colourful characters filled the Primary precincts and we want to thank families for the time and energy they put in to producing their child's costume creations.
