Dr Coulson Gives Great Food for Thought

Student Wellbeing

King's had the pleasure of hosting Dr Justin Coulson at our Reedy Creek and Pimpama campuses this week, where he provided some practical wellbeing advice to students. Dr Coulson earned his PhD in Positive Psychology and is a successful author, radio announcer, sought-after speaker, and father of six daughters. During the sessions with all of our Years 5 - 10 students, he shared five of the best ways they can increase their own wellbeing. These included more connectedness with others, physical activity (especially in nature), slowing down and taking notice, loving learning, and being generous. Dr Coulson's engaging and entertaining presentation style ensured the auditorium was buzzing with laughter and energy, as he delivered a memorable message on a timely topic.

On Tuesday evening, Dr Coulson hosted a live webinar especially for King's parents from all three campuses. Many parents joined online and received valuable tools to help them increase happiness, connection and wellbeing, within their family unit. We received a lot of encouraging feedback from parents following the webinar, who learned so much from the session. The webinar was recorded and is available via the button below. King's will also be distributing free memberships to Dr Coulson's Happy Families online resources.

I look forward to showing the recording to my husband and watching it again myself as it was very insightful and gave practical helpful wisdom on raising our children in a healthy way. I also loved that as a psychologist he came with a Christian worldview."
