Finney House wins KPC 2020 Swimming Carnival
Finney House won the Swimming Carnival for the third year in a row.


What a fabulous day was had at the Nerang Aquatic Centre on Wednesday with the Year 3 - Year 8 students.  This was the last all-school Swimming Carnival.

In 2021, the Year 7 to 9 students will compete in their very first High School Swimming Carnival in week 2 of Term 1. 

Finney threw out the challenge to the other three houses early in the day by winning the war cry with a powerful and energetic performance, and they continued their dominance throughout the day.

Final overall house positions were:

1st:  Finney  894 points
2nd: Tyndale  679 points
3rd:  Newton  670 points
4th: Rayleigh  659 points

An outstanding number of 39 records tumbled throughout the day by some very strong swimmers.  

Congratulations to brother and sister swimmers - Sienna Mower for setting three new records and Mason Mower who achieved the highest number of new records by setting eight on the day.

Brother and sister swimming duo took home 11 new records at the 2020 King's Pimpama Swimming Carnival.

Year 8 student, Ella Burden, broke six new records while Grant Garcia set four new records in the Age 13 division.  Other outstanding swimmers were Xyra Sapinosa, Sienna Marshall, Elias Flancia and Taylor Caldwell.

These two dynamic and powerful swimmers took home 14 new records at the King's Pimpama Swimming Carnival for 2020. Congratulations Mason and Ella.

In the Age 14 division eight Foundation Records were set by three swimmers.  Congratulations went to Emily Clark, Joshua Day and Judson Gainfort for their outstanding efforts.

Congratulations to the following Age Champions who came first in their respective age group:  Age 8 years - Charlotte Hope and Jackson Francis; Age 9 - Sienna Mower and Bently Tetonga; Age 10 - Faith Nicolson and Borisz Bozsoki; Age 11 - Ruby Brissett and Mason Mower; Age 12 - Kate Duckworth and Oliver Elsayed; Age 13 - Ella Burden and Grant Garcia; Age 14 - Emily Clark and Joshua Day.
