Foundational Values | Learning with Excellence
At King's, we strive to encourage students...
My name is Mr Thomas Bristow-Wilson and I am the newly-appointed Head of Culture and Deputy Head in the Primary School at Reedy Creek. This will be my fourteenth year at King's Christian College and I am stepping out of the classroom into this new and exciting role. It is both an honour and a privilege to work more closely with our parents this year, as we partner together to make 2021 an unforgettable time of growing our King's family, and strengthening our community. For those who are new to King's, our College is underpinned by twelve Foundational Values. Our mission is to help every King's student learn and apply these values as they personally develop Christ-like characteristics throughout their school journey.
Each fortnight, our Primary teachers will introduce a new Foundational Value (FV), and we have started Term 1 with a focus on Learning with Excellence. Primary students will have many opportunities to demonstrate these qualities over the fortnight and our classes will recognise and celebrate the students who display these qualities.
- See more about Primary Art Competition with the theme of Learning with Excellence.
During this fortnight's FV focus, students will be encouraged to:
- Work to the best of their ability
- Have a positive attitude towards learning
- Be on time to class
- Be organised for class
Please take the time to talk to your child about what learning with excellence means to them and how they can demonstrate this in their everyday life. I look forward to partnering with you as we strive to develop these Christ-Like qualities in our students.
