Christine Lin Becomes GC Eisteddfod Open Age Champion

Talented student musician, Christine Lin (Year 10), performed for the first time in the piano group of the Gold Coast Eisteddfod recently. Christine began by demonstrating her skills in the Open Age Baroque Solo category, where she successfully placed 1st overall. She then performed in the Grade 8/Certificate of Performance Solo and placed 2nd. Christine later competed in the Open Age Championship and was awarded 1st Place - an outstanding achievement! It was a very competitive event this year and every pianist played their pieces beautifully, expressing different composer’s stylistic language. Christine received the top award for her display of confidence on the piano throughout her engaging performance, and the judges noted her 'precision and accurate technical control and the way her phrases were shaped lyrically and differentiated expressively.'
