Happy Performers at King's Dance Academy
King's Dance Academy (KDA) is so excited to be back on the Pimpama campus and offering fun classes in Drama, Jazz, Ballet, Hip-hop, Lyrical and ACRO to all King's College students.
“We have had so much joy in the last few weeks, seeing all the students’ happy faces again,” said Miss La Toya.
During lockdown restrictions KDA students were able to keep up with their dance lessons via weekly virtual classes. They held a silly sock week to bring some light-hearted fun during these difficult times.
Performance team challenges were also held. The Elite team, Lyrical Division and Hip-Hop Crew members were encouraged to create their own choreography, get dressed up and film it for our King's Dance community.
Well done to Elite dance student Sophie Turner for grooving up a storm to her own choreography as part of the program.
Now lessons are back in full swing, the passionate KDA teachers are preparing dance students for the end-of-year performances, including the "4 Seasons" story ballet, performed by the King's Dance Ballerinas. The performance teams have also started working hard, learning their routines for the Starbound Competition, due to be held in September. Good luck to the Elite teams, Lyrical Division and the Hip-hop Crew at this event.
“We are so happy to bring joy through the Performing Arts to all King's College students,” exclaimed Miss La Toya.
