High School Honours Roll Semester 1, 2021
High School Honours Assemblies occur twice a year and give honours badges to students who have achieved exceptional outcomes in their College pursuits. Our Honours Assemblies took place this week and presented our Years 7 - 11 students with their honours badges for Semester One 2021 achievements. These awards were given to students who have shown dedication and success in the areas of College Enhancement (Arts and Service), Sport and Academics. Over the three assemblies, hundreds of awards were given out at Teal, Bronze, Silver and Gold level, as determined by the College's Honours Criteria. This is a testament to the continued diligence of our students and we congratulate these recipients for honouring God with the various gifts and talents they have been given. Our Campus Principal, Mr Meyers, addressed the cohorts during their assemblies, with an inspirational message about leadership. 'Your talents will take you so far, but it is your character that will take you the rest of the way.' He said. 'At King's, our main focus is on developing Christian leadership characteristics in our students because we recognise that every person has leadership potential, and is a leader in some aspect of their life.' Mr Meyers focussed on four leadership qualities we all need to practise, including respect for those around us, compassion for others, excellence - doing our best in whatever we put our hand to, and integrity - being a trustworthy and reliable person.
