Hinterland District Swim Time Trials 2021

Eleven of our talented swimmers took part in the Hinterland District ‘Green’ swimming time trials on Tuesday at Somerset College. As a time trial event, students were competing to be selected for a coveted spot on the Hinterland District team to compete at South Coast Regionals. These young athletes were outstanding ambassadors for the College and demonstrated why they were selected to represent King's. Each student gave their best efforts in a very tough competition.

Some outstanding results from the day included:

Mason Mower, 12yr boys:

1st - 50m Backstroke
2nd - 50m Breaststroke, 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly, 100m Freestyle.

Borisz Bozsoki, 11yr boys:

2nd - 50m Butterfly

Mia Cardwell, 13yr girls:

2nd - 50m Breaststroke

Taylah Cardwell, 14yr girls:

2nd - 50m Breaststroke
4th - 50m freestyle

Regional Swimming Selections

This year, three King's Pimpama students have qualified to compete at the SSSC Regional swimming trials. Congratulations to Mia Cardwell, Bailey Tetonga and Mason Mower. These fantastic swimmers have qualified in the following events:

  • Mia: 3 events - 50m, 100m and 200m Breaststroke
  • Bailey: 1 event - 200m Breaststroke
  • Mason: 8 events - 50m Backstroke; 50m Breaststroke; 50m, 100m, 200m Butterfly; 100m, 200m Freestyle; 400m IM.

Congratulations to all of the competitors. We wish these three athletes all the best for the Regional trials.
