King's Captains Embrace Canberra Leadership Conference

Reedy Creek

The six Executive Captains of 2020 were blessed with the opportunity to attend the Compass Leadership Conference in Canberra last week. This five-day experience encouraged growth within our relationship with God, each other, and other leaders from around Australia.

Starting the days off with worship and then sessions followed by lunch and more informative discussions, it is needless to say that this conference was packed full of edifying conversations, insightful sessions and overall a fun time. Some of the highlights of this trip consist of visiting the Canberra War Memorial and Parliament House, as well as the Bush Dance which we had on the last night of our stay.

Through this experience, the other captains and I were able to develop new perspectives and new friendships with so many young Christian leaders from around Australia. Looking back on the trip, it is crazy to think that all the different schools did not know each other at the start of the conference because by the end of the trip so many new friendships had been formed.

Overall, this conference was an amazing experience and I know that the lessons learned and the friendships gained are more valuable than I can describe.
