The King’s Grand Prix Chess Championships is our most prestigious Intraschool Chess event, featuring the most skillful players from each campus. 182 students competed in four divisions to claim the 2021 House Chess Title. Thank you to the 2021 King’s Chess coaches Sean Evans (Prep – Year 2 Reedy Creek), Yi Liu (QLD State Primary students, QLD State Students High School), Daniel Lapitan (Pimpama), Alex Stahnke (Anzac Avenue) and Mr Cooke, King’s Chess Coordinator (all three campuses). What an incredible year taking out the Gold Coast Schools Championships in Primary and First on the Gold Coast for High School.
