Senior Students Receive State Art Awards

Secondary

Every year across Queensland, secondary schools submit artwork from their best budding artists into the State Government’s Queensland Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art. Now in its 30th year, the prestigious program attracted 521 submissions from 180 schools. While the 2020 format was modified and the Award Presentation event could not occur, the selection process remained highly competitive with every entry independently assessed by a panel of judges. The 2020 awards have been presented in the categories of Art Excellence, Regional Encouragement and Commendation, and the winning Art Excellence pieces will form a central exhibit at GOMA, Brisbane, in 2021.
