Meet our Newest Chaplains

Student Wellbeing

The Student Wellbeing team supports and equips students to thrive psychologically and spiritually while at King's, and in their lives beyond. Ashleigh Wilson and Riley Jones joined the team earlier this year as Chaplains, and we appreciate the positive impact they have already had in the King's community. Ashleigh shared a little about her journey at King's so far:

Ash Wilson new Chaplain"My name is Ashleigh Wilson and I'm one of the new Chaplains. I started as a student at King's in 2009, and graduated in 2016. I attend King's Church, Reedy Creek, and serve on the King's Kids team.

The best part about my role has been getting to know all the wonderful people at King's. It's an honour to be a part of such a loving and encouraging community! There's no typical day in the life of a Chaplain because our days are often full of new things to do, and new people to meet. The only consistency is the inconsistency, but that's what makes the job so fun! You never know what is around the corner, so staying on your toes is a must.

My favourite Bible verse comes from Matthew 6:34 and it says, ‘Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.’ I love this verse because it reminds us to focus in the present and what God is doing for us right now.”

There is also a link to the Parent Referral form, where parents can submit a referral about their child, which the Student Wellbeing team will follow up.
