Music Examinations in the COVID Era

The Instrumental Music Department continues to forge ahead with a wide variety of musical instruments being practised and performed by students. King's musicians are encouraged to participate in formal music examinations, which are usually undertaken through AMEB or Rockschool. COVID-19 created some challenges and changes to music examinations this year, however, in the last holiday period several of our students sat a virtual AMEB exam. 

Piano - Taught by Dr Christina Churchill

Year 11 student, Joseph Marescia, completed his Grade 8 AMEB Piano exam at the AMEB Studios in Brisbane on Sunday, June 28. He played The Way It Is by Bruce Hornsby, Say a Little Prayer by Burt. Bacharach, and Sonnet 140 of Petrarch by Alexander Peskanov. Joseph received an 'A' (Honours) which is an exceptional result. Congratulations!
