National Science Week Celebrations

King’s celebrated National Science Week 2020 in many exciting ways. Our High School students discovered it takes 320 rubber bands to explode a watermelon getting a firsthand taste of kinetic and potential energy in action, while Primary were surprised to learn it takes 14 students to pop 15 inflated balloons.

The main library was also a hive of science activity as students enjoyed many engaging opportunities to explore how our world works, and marvel at the incredible complexity of God’s creation seen through the lens of science. Mr Holman from the High School Science department conducted fun experiments for students in Years 4 – 12, and they also had the chance to use microscopes, read science experiment books, and interact with the hands-on science displays featured throughout the library.
