Pizza Helps Year 12s' Maths Motivation

Secondary

More than 30 Year 12 mathematics students embraced the opportunity to revise their curriculum after school on Thursday, during the Year 12 Maths & Pizza evening. The Maths Department have run a similar event for the past few years, prior to major exams, and the participating students enjoyed the chance to refresh their knowledge on math syllabus, practise equations with peers and even challenge their teachers on a number of complicated concepts. Stopping for a pizza snack provided the perfect energy and motivation students needed as they worked hard to prepare for their upcoming exams. The Maths Matrix provided the venue for the event that was hosted by senior teachers from General Maths, Math Methods and Specialist Maths. It was amazing seeing the enthusiasm of the students as they worked together towards the common goal of understanding and achieving within their chosen Maths subject.

Thanks to our King's senior maths teachers Mr Lee, Mr Robertson, Mr Tattersall and Mr Hotko for making yourselves available, and special thanks to King's Head of Mathematics, Mrs Davis, for coordinating this valuable event.
