King's came alive for the Prep - Year 2 Athletics Carnival last week, as hundreds of energetic students descended on the Oval eager for the chance to sprint, jump, hop, throw and sack race their way around the field for a morning of fun with their friends. With a vibrant array of colour and the enthusiastic cheer of friendly House rivalry, the exciting Carnival promised a welcome break from school work and the chance to familiarise students with many well-known athletics events, including long jump, high jump over a rope, javelin using foam rockets, sprints, and relay races complete with sandbag throwing, sack racing, mini hurdles and more

We missed the presence of parents this year, due to COVID restrictions, but our youngest students still created a lively Carnival atmosphere, cheering for their peers from the sidelines and showing the supportive student community that exists across King's. Well done to our House Champions, NEWTON, for winning this year's Carnival with 3113 points, followed closely by Raleigh, then Finney and then Tyndale.
