Regional Cross Country

Reedy Creek

Regional Cross Country was held at Runaway Bay last week. King’s had fifteen students who qualified to compete. Conditions were perfect and our runners were familiar with the course from their recent APS carnival. I would like to congratulate all our runners for doing an outstanding job. Our teal singlets stood out on the day and we finished with five students in the top three out of 18 races. Some of our runners were competing at Regionals for the first time. This was a great opportunity to race some of the best runners outside of APS.

Overall, we had five students who qualified for State! Well done to all runners on a successful season and I look forward to seeing how our State runners go next term.

Thank you to all the parents who came out to support the team and a BIG thank you to our Head Coach’s Mr Muir and Andrew who have brought the best out of our runners. Mr Muir will now be running middle distance running sessions as cross country training is officially finished for the year.
