The annual Gold Coast Schools Legal Essay Competition is run in conjunction with Griffith University Law School and attracts entries from Legal Studies students across the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Senior students were invited to submit an essay dealing with a current national or international legal issue, and the 2021 entries were of an exceptional standard again this year. The competition's Awards Evening was held in mid-September and presented the successful awardees with their prizes in the presence of parents, Griffith University academic staff, and representatives from SPG Lawyers, who sponsored the event. King's Year 12 student, Reese Spence, demonstrated her outstanding Legal Studies acumen in an award-winning submission which earned her second place, $250 in prize money and a book voucher. Congratulations Reese!
