St George Mission Trip 2020
On the last Thursday of Term 3, 20 Year 12 King's students and staff travelled 526km West to the rural town of St George for a Mission Trip, where the team enjoyed the chance to serve the local King’s Church campus, farmers, and other churches. Ps Nathan and Kirsty Waters, campus Pastors from King’s Church, hosted the group and arranged for them to serve around the Church grounds, run a Youth program, and help out around local properties. The team were also blessed to host a King's church service and share the Word, lead worship and help in the kids ministry. Through these experiences and by showing their unconditional love toward others, the group witnessed God move countless times in peoples' lives. A highlight was to see the King's Church Youth leaders grow in their own faith and confidence for their important ministry in the St George community.
College staff were very impressed with the students as they stepped into new areas of their personal faith and pressed into God to pray for others. Several of the students experienced a fresh revelation for their own lives that will stay with them as they move beyond life at King's in the coming weeks. To see the King's Year 12 students outwork their Christian leadership through this Mission Trip and know how much this has blessed others, was a reminder of how God has been good to us for many years in so many ways.
Well done team and thank you all for your servant hearts!
