Students on a Mission to Serve
On Wednesday, 11 March, hundreds of excited Primary students converged on the COLA during first break for the annual Missions Market. This was the largest Missions Market yet, with nearly 50 stalls filling the precinct to offer a wide variety of quality items ranging from copious kinds of candy, cupcakes and cookies, to caps, customised jewellery and much more. Mission Markets provide a practical way for students to Live Purposefully and this was evident throughout the event. Year 6 Peacekeepers walked around the markets hand in hand with Prep students to help them with their shopping; Primary students of all ages ran the stalls and served their peers, and all of our young shoppers eagerly used their pocket money to support King's charity partners:
- 100% hOPE, Uganda
- Manna Ministries, India
- Faith That Moves Mountains, Philippines
- Surf Life Saving Chaplaincy, Australia .
Many thanks to our students, parents, and wider Primary community for contributing to this event and helping King's raise $5,258 to share between these charities for their important work.
