Swimming Creates Friendships Across Years 1 & 2

"Splish! Splash! Year 1 and 2 have had a blast! They have dived into the end of the term with the amazing swimming lessons at Gullivers Swim School in Upper Coomera. The students have loved learning how to swim with their friends and are becoming more and more confident in the water.

Our students have been trying their best to help one another get ready and practising teamwork by being a supportive friend when someone needs encouragement in the pool. It has been a wonderful experience for the students in Year 1 and 2 to mingle and build friendships across the grade levels. 

The highlight for many has been the achievement of ringing the bell in front of the whole swimming complex to graduate to the next level of swimming. For others the highlight was the ride on the bus filled with lots of singing and giggling (and maybe a little snoring on the way home). This experience has enriched the classroom environment as friendships grow stronger and we cheer one another on! We can’t wait to do it again!"
