Students Bring Change for Teens in Need

Reedy Creek

Hungry high schoolers swarmed the oval last Thursday, on the hunt for freshly-fried food and thirst-quenching beverages, with the sausage sizzle proving a sellout. The mission of Term 2’s free dress day and lunchtime BBQ was to raise valuable funds for Teen Challenge Queensland, an organisation that has helped thousands of young people overcome addiction, abuse and other life-controlling problems, since 1971. King's encourage all students to Live Purposefully by showing compassion for others, and events like these provide an opportunity to raise awareness and money to assist people in need.

Thanks to our King’s families for showing your support and helping to raise $2,480.90 for Teen Challenge, and their important work. This is one of the highest amounts raised by this event, and showed incredible generosity from our High School community.
