World Space Week 2020

Last week our King's libraries celebrated World Space Week. The exciting annual event is celebrated around the world in hundreds of countries with thousands of space-themed activities, and the 2020 focus being Satellites Improve LifeThe UN General Assembly declared World Space Week as 4-10 October every year, to recognise the importance of space science and technology for the betterment of human life.

During Years 5 and 6 library classes, students enjoyed perusing books and articles on Space from the library's resources. Led by King's librarians, they also discussed the amazing universe God has made, and the many incredible space technologies that are now being used. The younger years loved listening to a story read from an astronaut in space. It was a fun and engaging teaching time as King's celebrated World Space Week.
