Year 12 Formal 2021 | A Night to Remember
Saturday, 3 September, marked a milestone for King’s graduating cohort of 2021 who enjoyed one of the highlights of their senior school calendar - the YEAR 12 FORMAL. It was wonderful to be able to welcome spectators back to the outdoor arrivals area this year, as parents loved seeing their sons and daughters make their grand entrance. Family members across the world were treated to a live-streamed viewing of the arrivals procession, giving them the chance to be part of this special event. Luxurious vehicles lined the Evandale Lake promenade at HOTA (Home of the Arts) and our seniors emerged in spectacular style wearing stunning gowns and dashing suits for their night of reminiscence and celebration. Professional photographs were taken to preserve the moment and cheers echoed across the venue, as students were welcomed into the ballroom for what promised to be a night to remember.
Campus Principal, Mr Meyers, opened the Year 12 Formal in prayer and offered some heartfelt words for the cohort. He reminisced that the Class of 2021 had shown great resilience and tenacity as they navigated the challenges of recent times. Every year, King's graduating class are given a title based on the characteristics of that group, and this year’s tenacious cohort were aptly named 'The Year of Courage.' Fun flowed throughout the event in the form of dancing, lots of photos, and a Kahoot quiz on All Things Year 12. Special thanks to King's staff whose tireless efforts created an event the Year 12s will never forget!
