Year 12's Final King's Camp

Our Year 12 cohort headed to Mt Tamborine for their final school camp in Week 5 of Term 2. This was a bittersweet time for our graduating year group, whose 2022 camp experience marked the beginning of the end of their annual school activities together as a cohort. The theme for their camp was 'Lead with Influence' and focussed on four of King's Foundational Values: Humility, Wisdom, Perseverance and Respect. Throughout their camp, students participated in various competitions in their Houses, in the hope of taking out the Noel Collins trophy. After a full few days of friendly rivalry, it was NEWTON House who claimed the victory for the first time this year - congratulations Newton! Every Year 12 student made the most of their last school camp experience by getting involved in all aspects of the action-packed schedule. The Thrift Shop Bingo Night was definitely a hit, as Mr Hein and Mr Ravel brought lively and hilarious entertainment. Our students were very creative with their costumes and some spent most of the night in character. The second night was the Garbage Bag Formal where DJ Riley’s tunes brought out some electric dance moves. It was great to see our students supporting each other on the night and taking the time to complement each other. A big thank you to Mr Grady for leading the camp and Mr Muir for organising the night devotions - they both made this camp a memorable experience for our students.

Well done Year 12 - you all showed what it is to lead with influence and demonstrated what an incredible cohort you are! We hope you enjoyed your final King's camp and that you finish the year even closer as a group because of this shared experience.
