Year 9s Get Firsthand Japanese Experience
Throughout Term 1, students from our Year 9 Japanese subject learned more about the unique food culture of Japan, as well as practising some essential sayings and sentences required at Japanese shops and restaurants. On Thursday 22 April, they visited an authentic Japanese restaurant Donto Sapporo where they tasted a range of Japanese dishes beautifully prepared in an Obento box. The students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to combine their classroom learning with real-life experiences by using their Japanese language skills to ask for a menu, order their drinks, and show appreciation for the food and service.
