Young Entrepreneurs Trade Show

Academic

Nearly 80 Year 9 students from all three Young Entrepreneurs classes hosted King's inaugural Trade Show event on Thursday, September 3, as a culmination of their unit called Generation Entrepreneur. The students formed 20 small groups who were given the task of designing, creating and promoting an innovative and original product or service, to be presented to an audience in the context of a Trade Show.

Many of the stalls were brightly decorated with creative marketing materials, ranging from balloons, streamers, and signage, as well as professional-looking promotional leaflets and cards. The main focus and highlight for many of the stalls was the prototype or scaled model that each group created for the occasion. It was inspiring to see many exciting business concepts displayed at the event, and hear from the budding salespeople who used their verbal communication skills to pitch their innovations to the eager crowd of potential 'investors.'
