The annual 'Year 6 Canberra Trip' is a highlight of the final year of primary school at King's. Students engage in an educational tour of our nation's capital to build on their Term 3 integrated studies unit focusing on Australian government. Students have been discovering how a country develops and changes through political influences and systems. For many of our students, it was their first trip on a plane, snow skiing and interaction with the engine room of Australian politics.
The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. We would like to acknowledge the support of the Australian Government, through the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program, which reduces the trip costs for each student by $60.
We are counting down to #SF2019 our annual Spring Fair at Pimpama on 7 September.
Do you have something to sell? We would love to hear from you.
This is our largest FUN-raising opportunity for the year.
We would love your support and if you are able to donate to our Cent Auction or Cake stall, please let us know.
