At King’s, our mission is to educate students in Christian leadership for tomorrow’s generation. While we believe every student is a leader in their own right, our student leadership program provides a formal pathway for students to practise and develop their leadership skills within our school community.
Following a rigorous selection process and prayerful consideration, we are honoured to announce our 2026 Senior School House Captains. These exceptional Year 11 students have consistently demonstrated strong leadership and a genuine heart for others during their time at King’s. We look forward to serving alongside them as they champion House Culture in the year ahead.
Congratulations to our 2026 Senior School House Captains, pictured with Mrs Pepeita Hamilton, Head of High School, and Mr Rob Verreynne, Campus Principal.

Active Travel at King's Pimpama has grown in strength in 2025. Following 3 terms of Park & Stride, followed by a hearty breakfast for all Active Travellers in High School and Primary, we have seen an increase from 17% active travel to 24% across this year.
We’re proud to announce that King's Pimpama has been awarded the Innovation Award for Active School Travel (AST) out of more than 15 schools across the coast. This recognition celebrates the creativity and impact of our program, and most importantly, it honours the incredible participation and enthusiasm of our students, parents and staff. Your commitment is what makes this club truly special.
King’s Run Club remains a highlight of our school week, uniting students, staff, and families in a shared commitment to health and community spirit. Meeting before school each Tuesday at 7:30 a.m., the club encourages students of all ages to get moving, set goals, and enjoy the benefits of an active lifestyle.
This Term, we’ve seen:
• Outstanding student participation across year levels
• Personal bests and goal-setting achievements
• A growing sense of community and support
Looking ahead to 2026, we’re excited to expand our AST program with a focus on:
• Reducing traffic congestion around the school
• Strengthening community connections
• Supporting healthy minds and bodies through regular active travel
Active Travel is more than just a congestion initiative; it’s a movement toward a healthier, more connected school environment. Thank you to all who contribute to its success. We look forward to another year of walking, wheeling, cycling, running, growing, and thriving together.

Our talented Year 5 students have achieved something truly special; they’ve been awarded Best Book in the Primary Division for Queensland/Northern Territory in the Write a Book in a Day competition!
This national challenge invites students to plan, write, illustrate, and submit a fully original story all within just 12 hours. Working in a team, students are given specific characters, a setting, and keywords that must appear in their story. From there, creativity takes over!
Our Year 5 writers demonstrated incredible teamwork, imagination, and perseverance as they brainstormed ideas, wrote their story, illustrated the pages, and edited their work. Their book stood out among many entries across Queensland and the Northern Territory for its engaging storyline, memorable characters, and creative flair.
What makes Write a Book in a Day even more meaningful is that it supports a great cause: funds raised through the competition go to the Kids’ Cancer Project, helping children and families impacted by cancer.
Congratulations to our amazing Year 5 authors and illustrators for this outstanding achievement! Your dedication, teamwork, and storytelling talent have made our school proud.
The Book, "The Underwater Escapade", can be read online HERE.

Year 4 students took to the stage for their Instrumental Music Concert, a celebration of their hard work, growth, and musical achievement throughout the year.
As they have embarked on the journey of learning new instruments, developed the art of performing as an ensemble, and grown as confident, independent young musicians, their progress has been truly inspiring.
It was a wonderful concert, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to the families and friends who filled the auditorium and continue to support our vibrant music program.
The Australian School of Entrepreneurship recently hosted the Young Entrepreneur Summit at Coombabah State High School on Thursday, 23 October, bringing together more than 300 students from across the Gold Coast.
Twelve of our Year 8 students attended the summit and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They listened to a range of inspiring entrepreneurs, worked collaboratively in groups, and presented their own business ideas to a panel of industry leaders.
The event was officially opened by Ms Angie Bell MP (Shadow Minister for Youth and Environment) and Councillor Mark Hammel (Acting Mayor). Students also had the opportunity to hear from and meet Alisha Isaacs (CEO and Founder of Ajani Array), Christie Perrin (Founder of Gwen Creative), Christina Baker (Founder of Gold Coast Cookies), and Mike Kellett (CEO and Founder of Macro Mike).
This invaluable opportunity allowed students to learn firsthand about the challenges and rewards of launching a business, as well as the realities of today’s fast-changing entrepreneurial landscape. Students provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, and we look forward to offering similar experiences as they prepare for the Year 9 Young Entrepreneurs program next year.
At this stage of the year, many of our students have finished their courses or traineeship that they started in Year 10 and are attending graduation ceremonies to celebrate their achievements.
This Year 12 cohort of 66 students has been busy with a range of qualifications alongside their academic workload.
Overall, 17 diploma qualifications were completed, including 2 Certificate IV courses, 12 Certificates III, and 12 Certificates I or II. We also had 11 students completing a traineeship or working towards their apprenticeship, which converts to a full-time role when they finish school in November, meaning they have a secure job moving forward.
Congratulations to all students on these great accomplishments.
Jeff Horsey Solicitors have once again invited King’s Pimpama students to undertake work experience within their law firm. This ongoing partnership provides students with valuable real-world exposure to the legal profession, including attending court to observe cases being heard, sitting in on client–lawyer consultations, and experiencing the many administrative tasks involved in running a law practice.
This year, 14 students applied to participate in the program, attending their placements at various times over the past two terms and during the holidays. Each student has returned with meaningful insights into what a legal career looks like day-to-day, and many come back to school inspired and enthusiastic about their potential future pathway.
As a College, we extend our sincere thanks to local employers who reach out and offer these opportunities to our students, helping them make informed decisions about their future careers.
We’re so proud of Damian Z. for his amazing achievements in golf! With a current handicap of just 4, he’s already showing incredible skill and dedication.
Recently, he came second in the Australian Open with US Kids in Toowoomba and has qualified for the Greg Norman Championship this December at the Palmer Coolum Course. Next year, he’ll take on his first Boys 12 Tour - how exciting!
Damian has already won some major titles, including Boys' 9, 10, and 11 Champion in South Africa, as well as Boys' 11 Champion in Australia. He has competed on four continents and represented his country in world championships in the USA.
With an amazing medal record of 18 first places, 16 seconds, and 7 thirds, Damian continues to make our school proud. Well done. We can’t wait to see what you achieve next!

Damien's 10 News InterviewThe Premier’s Reading Challenge is an annual state-wide initiative aimed at improving literacy and encouraging a lifelong love of reading. To complete the challenge, students from Prep to Grade 4 must read or experience 20 books and students from Grade 5 to Grade 9 must read 15 books. This year, King’s Pimpama had 295 students complete the challenge, together reading an incredible 11,242 books! A massive congratulations to all the students who completed the challenge, and a special congratulations to 3PB, who had the greatest number of students from one class complete the challenge this year. All students who completed the challenge will receive a certificate signed by the Premier of Queensland.
A big thank you to all the parents and families who read to their students or encouraged their students to read during the challenge. Your support is truly appreciated. Congratulations again to all the students who took part in the Premier’s Reading Challenge this year!
Happy reading!
