Believe – Our Easter Festival Celebrating the Arts at King’s
On Monday, 30 March, our community came together for “Believe”, our Easter Arts Festival, a vibrant celebration of creativity, talent, and the powerful message of hope that anchors this season.
At the heart of the festival was our Scripture theme: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.” – John 14:1
Our students captured this truth through their art in each performance and installation, echoing a different facet of what it means to believe.
We are so proud of every student who contributed to this year’s festival.
Thank you to our amazing staff, families, and wider community for supporting our students.

King’s Term 1 Active School Travel Park and Stride event was a great way to celebrate healthy habits, community, and school spirit—made even more special as part of our vibrant Multi-Cultural Day.
With beautiful weather on our side, families arrived early to start the day well, enjoying the culture and energy at Gainsborough Park. Parents were welcomed with a complimentary hot drink, while students enjoyed a healthy breakfast after walking to school together.
A clear highlight was the chance to grab a selfie with the ever-popular Zero the Hero, which brought plenty of smiles. With over 300 participants across both High School and Primary, it was fantastic to see so many students choosing to walk with friends and family.
Events like this really showcase the strength and diversity of our King's community, as well as the value of coming together in simple, positive ways. Congratulations to our voucher winners, and thank you to everyone who made the morning such a success.

Our campus was bursting with colour, music, and excitement as students from Prep to Year 6 came together to celebrate Multicultural Day!
From the moment the festivities began, our classrooms and outdoor spaces became a vibrant showcase of cultures from around the world. Students proudly dressed in traditional outfits, shared meaningful stories, and enjoyed activities that highlighted the beauty of diversity.

In week 9 we held our Prep - Year 2 Culture Assembly. Students were awarded for their outstanding behaviour in line with the King's Foundational Values.
Congratulations to all students, and thank you for making our school a wonderful place to be.

To celebrate the first term of Prep, all Preppies were invited to bring their King's Teddy Bear back to school for a special Teddy Bear Party this week.
They celebrated with fun games and activities. Our students and their precious little teddies had a great time.

As part of our HASS (Humanities and Social Sciences) unit this term, students have been learning to identify continuity and change in family structures, roles, and significant aspects of daily life, such as schooling. The children have enjoyed exploring how different life was from the 1950s to the 1990s compared to today. They developed a list of questions to ask their parents or grandparents about how life has changed since they were young.
On Friday, 27 March 2026, Year 1 parents and/or grandparents were invited to visit our classrooms at 8:30 am to be interviewed by their child. The children then proudly shared some of the work they had completed during the term. Although it was a very busy time, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

What a FUN morning we all had at the P-2 Fun Run.
It was wonderful to see our little athletes giving their best efforts as they made their way around the Fun Run course.
Congratulations to all students.

This week, students braved the weather to take part in our cross-country carnivals. A fun time was had by all, and it was a great way to finish the term.
Thank you to all the parents who also braved the weather to come along and show their support.
Please enjoy these highlights. Full results will be in the next newsletter.

Congratulations to our Year 10 Rugby Team on their recent competition success. They even featured in the Courier Mail.
