Our Year 1 students had a fantastic time during their recent excursion to Lone Pine Sanctuary! Over the past few weeks, they enjoyed learning about unique Australian wildlife while engaging in fun activities. The experience fostered curiosity and a deeper appreciation for nature, making it a memorable outing for all.
Last Monday, specific students from our Logan Village campus proudly represented their school at the interschool chess tournament held at Reedy Creek Campus. These talented players showcased their skills and strategic thinking in the face of fierce competition, demonstrating teamwork and sportsmanship. The event was a fantastic opportunity for the students to challenge themselves and excel.
Our high school students had the tremendous opportunity to mentor Year 1 students during their fusion classes this term. The high schoolers engaged with the younger students, helping them learn how to play chess and supporting them in learning how to count.
Seeing the Year 1 students looking up to their older peers, eager to learn and excited about the experience was heartwarming. The classroom was filled with laughter, teamwork, and a genuine spirit of learning.
This initiative allowed our high school students to share their knowledge and helped them develop valuable mentoring skills. The positive atmosphere created an inspiring environment for everyone involved. We want to continue building these connections and fostering a love for learning across all grades!
We held our first Year 7 Experience Day for 2025, and it was a fantastic opportunity for our Year 6 students to get a taste of what high school life will be like!
The day was filled with fun activities, allowing everyone to make new friends and bond as a team. From engaging games to special moments in our high school chapel, the excitement was palpable!
We’re so proud of our incoming Year 7s and can’t wait to see how they shine in the coming year!
On Tuesday during assembly, our High School students were visited by officers from the School-Based Police Officer program, who spoke on the important topic of “Respectful Relationships.” Three officers shared an engaging and age-appropriate presentation designed for Year 7 and Year 8 students, a program that is delivered in schools across Queensland.
The session explored what makes a healthy relationship, how to honour and treat one another with kindness and respect, and the importance of understanding consent in all relationships.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to reinforce the values of respect, care, and empathy that we seek to nurture in every student at King’s.
This past Friday night, we transformed our campus into a vibrant Neon Night, an alternative to Halloween celebrations. Despite the rain trying to hold us back, it didn’t dampen the fun or the lively atmosphere of the event.
The space was filled with glowing colours and the energy of everyone embracing the spirit of the night. From neon face paint to bright accessories, it was amazing to see everyone get creative and showcase their glowing styles.
We even had a fantastic side show alley filled with exciting games and prizes, an exceptional chapel service from our chaplains that brought us together, fun rides that added to the excitement, and an abundance of lollies to satisfy our sweet tooth. The night was truly filled with joy and laughter, making it a memorable celebration for everyone involved!
Stunning is the only word that truly captures the magic of this year’s King’s Ball themed “The Greatest Show for the Greatest Cause.” Held on Saturday, 25 October, the elegant Imperial Hotel ballroom transformed into a dazzling spectacle, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of glamour, entertainment, and generosity.
Now in its sixth year, the Ball united King’s parents and staff with the mission to “friend-raise” building a strong, supportive foundation within our school community. Alongside the celebration, guests helped raise vital funds for our High School Mission Trips through a Silent Auction and lucky draw ticket sales.
Thanks to everyone who contributed, and congratulations to our lucky winners! Your support made this night not only memorable but truly meaningful.
Thanks to our 2025 P&F Ball Sponsors & Coordinators
We’d like to extend our deepest gratitude to our major sponsors — Rigs Recovery, Accor Stadium, and Hopesway for their generous support of this year’s King’s Ball. A huge thank you also goes out to the many businesses and families who contributed to the event, including Soak Bathhouse, Imperial Hotel, Parkwood Golf Club, Officeworks, and Event Cinemas.
To our incredible parents and staff who attended: thank you for bringing such joy to the evening, for helping us fundraise, and for making the night a resounding success.
And finally, our biggest thanks go to King’s P&F President Roula Webster and Event Coordinator Toni Colbron, whose dedication, time, and energy made “The Greatest Show for the Greatest Cause” not only possible — but truly spectacular.

The King's Ball PhotographsLV Year 4 Concert
Year 4 students took to the stage for their Instrumental Music Concert, a celebration of their hard work, growth, and musical achievement throughout the year.
As they have embarked on the journey of learning new instruments, developed the art of performing as an ensemble, and grown as confident, independent young musicians, their progress has been truly inspiring.
It was a wonderful concert, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to the families and friends who filled the auditorium and continue to support our vibrant music program.
