Last Friday afternoon, our Noah’s Ark Pimpama community came together to honour the incredible women who nurture, guide and love our little learners, our mums! The Mother’s Day Afternoon Celebration was a heart-warming time of connection, creativity and well-deserved pampering.
Our mums were treated to a variety of activities designed to spoil them and create special memories with their children. Hand massages, nail painting and portrait drawing were just some of the experiences on offer. The biscuit icing station added a sweet touch, while the photo booth captured precious moments of laughter and love.
Each child proudly presented a handmade gift, carefully crafted to show just how much their mum means to them. To top it all off, every mum was surprised with a beautifully decorated cupcake to enjoy.
It was a joy to watch the children so enthusiastically participate in making the afternoon special for their mums. The atmosphere was filled with smiles, cuddles and heartfelt gratitude.
Thank you to all the mothers and special women who joined us; we are so thankful for you and hope you left feeling celebrated and cherished.
Mrs Katrina Meade
Director of Early Learning
On Friday, 12 May, our Primary classes had a visit from their Mothers and carers to celebrate Mother's Day. It was a lovely afternoon full of fun and pampering. Massages, manicures, crafts and cupcakes were enjoyed by all.
It was nice to spend some time showing our Mum's how special they are.
Mother's Day Photos - PrimaryOur Prep students were treated to a unique incursion last week, as they learned about ocean life and sea creatures from the comfort of their classroom. Educators from Ocean Life Education brought along some special guests from the marine family. The students were thrilled to see a variety of sea creatures, including starfish and sea urchins, that they could interact with.
The marine experts shared some fascinating facts about each animal, and our students enthusiastically asked questions about the creatures’ habitat and behaviour.
That's a wrap on this year's High School musical production. What a great 3 nights of performances. Our high school students lit up the auditorium stage. Congratulations to everyone involved.
Special thanks to the staff and students whose dedication of time and energy produced a first-class musical for our community to enjoy!

Musical PhotosThe Year 3 and 4 were blessed this week with a concert performance from the King’s Pimpama Symphonic Wind Band and the Senior String Orchestra.
After beginning their Orchestral Music Program in Term 1, Year 4 have been eagerly learning and growing in their skill and understanding of music. The concert was an opportunity for the students to gain a greater understanding of what they are aiming for in their ensembles and to inspire them toward a commitment to practice and dedication to their instruments. The opportunity to see the instrument they are learning being played by senior students was very inspiring.
For Year 3, the concert was the first step in their introduction to the instruments of the orchestra.
Here is a short interview with year 4 student, Chase (4PA)

On Tuesday, 6 May, a team of 10 enthusiastic girls from Year 7 and 8 proudly represented our school at the Titans Cup Netball Tournament, held at Coomera Indoor Sports Centre. Competing in a challenging age division split into two pools of four teams, the girls stepped onto the court for their very first competition of the year—and made an unforgettable impression.
After months of hard training, the team came out firing, securing an impressive win against netball powerhouse St Andrews. In their second match, they faced a dominant Marsden State High side and narrowly missed a win in a tight contest. Showing resilience, the girls bounced back with a thrilling two-goal victory over St Joseph's Banora Point. They wrapped up the day by playing off for second place in the pool against St Joseph's once more, finishing with a top-two result—an outstanding achievement for their first tournament of the season.
With two more Titans Cup tournaments to come in Terms 3 and 4, the team is eager to continue their development and face new opponents. The girls played with heart, determination, and pride—an excellent start to a promising netball season!

On Friday, 9 May, a team of talented students from Years 4 to 6 represented our school in an indoor netball competition at Gold Coast Indoor Sport. While the event was primarily for Year 5 and 6 students, two standout Year 4 players confidently stepped up and joined the team, demonstrating maturity and skill well beyond their years.
After committing to early morning training since the start of the year, this tournament marked not only the team’s first competition of the season, but also the first time many had ever played indoor netball with nets. Adapting quickly to the different rules and fast-paced format, the girls impressed everyone with their determination, teamwork, and resilience.
The competition was divided into two pools of four teams. Despite it being their first time playing together, the girls gelled brilliantly on court and battled through several close matches to finish first in their pool, earning a spot in the semi-finals. There, they faced a strong Ashmore State School team, which would go on to win the grand final. Although their finals run ended there, securing a top-four finish was an outstanding result for this emerging team.
We are incredibly proud of their effort, sportsmanship, and courage. This is just the beginning for this promising group of netballers, and we’re excited to see what they’ll achieve as the season unfolds!
