It has been wonderful to welcome our King’s Pimpama students and families back for Term 2. Our campus is once again filled with energy, connection, and purpose as we continue partnering together to support student growth in learning, character, and faith.
We look forward to all that this term will bring as our community continues to live and learn purposefully together.

This milestone reflects our commitment to providing high‑quality, modern learning environments for our students.
As part of the College Master Plan, construction has now commenced on our next high school building, due for completion in late 2027. As works progress, families may notice some temporary changes around the campus, including the closure of the top oval. We thank families for their patience and understanding as we continue to build for the future.

On Friday 24 April, our College community gathered in the King’s Auditorium for a deeply meaningful ANZAC Service. It was a moment to pause, reflect, and honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who have given so much for the freedoms we enjoy today.
We were privileged to hear from our guest speaker, Mr Paul Schipanski, a naval veteran, who shared the powerful story of Captain Leslie R Blake. Through his words, we were drawn into the reality of service and sacrifice—not as distant history, but as the lived experience of real men and women. One moment that particularly moved our students and staff was the image of Captain Blake, recovering from a gunshot wound, etching his name into a wall—an enduring mark of resilience, identity, and humanity in the midst of conflict. Tragically, Captain Blake would later lose his life in combat, playing his part in securing a future where others—us included—could live in relative peace and safety. There was a reverence in the room as our students engaged with this story.
It reminded us that ANZAC Day is not simply about remembrance, but about responsibility—how we choose to live in light of the sacrifice made for us. It was also a gift to have this service livestreamed, allowing our wider College community to participate from classrooms and homes. In doing so, we were united in reflection, regardless of where we were physically gathered. As a College, we remain committed to ensuring that these moments are not lost on our young people. We want them to understand that the legacy of the ANZACs calls each of us to live with courage, integrity, and a deep sense of gratitude. Lest we forget.

On 22 April, students participated in an engaging IT excursion to PlaySide Studios and Solis Security, gaining valuable insight into real‑world technology careers.
At PlaySide Studios, students learned about the game development process from initial ideas through to fully developed games. Hearing about the team’s relatable career journeys and touring the collaborative studio space helped students see how their own interests could translate into future opportunities. A Q&A session provided further insight into pathways within the gaming industry.
The visit to Solis Security introduced students to the world of cybersecurity, where they learned how organisations are protected from digital threats and explored the range of roles within the industry. A highlight was the interactive “Capture the Flag” challenge, which allowed students to apply cybersecurity concepts in a practical and engaging way.
Overall, the excursion was an inspiring experience that provided a clearer understanding of future pathways in the technology sector. Article written by Armanjeet G

On Wednesday 29th April, we sent five High School touch teams to compete in the Logan Schools Cup. King’s was represented by two U13 Boys teams, a U13 Girls team, a U15 Boys team, and an Opens Girls team.
All teams have been training consistently through our before-school sessions, and their dedication was evident throughout the day. Each team competed strongly, with our Opens Girls and U13 A Boys progressing through to their respective Grand Finals. The Opens Girls narrowly went down to a strong Yarrabilba side, finishing as impressive runners-up. Our U13 A Boys, however, were outstanding, completing a clean sweep of the competition. They capped off a dominant campaign with a Grand Final win against Trinity Beenleigh, conceding just two tries across the entire tournament. Thank you to all players for their effort and commitment, and a special acknowledgment to our coaches for their continued dedication.
We look forward to building on this success in the upcoming Touch Football season.

We are proud to celebrate Damian and his remarkable golf achievements during the school holidays. Damian competed in four elite tournaments locally and internationally, including a 4th place finish in Thailand against the World No. 1 and No. 2 for his age group, a win at the Australian Junior Masters, a second place on the Junior Pro Tour, and a top‑15 finish at the Royal Pines International Tournament.
Damian’s dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence are a wonderful example of living purposefully and pursuing God‑given talents with humility and determination.

Year 10 students Mahe Hala and Blaine Adams recently represented Australia at the Tropical 7s Tournament in Tampa, Florida, competing in the U16 Boys Elite Division — the highest level in their age group.
Travelling to the United States on 27 March, the boys joined the Renegades 32 team, made up of players from King’s Reedy Creek, the Gold Coast, and Perth. Competing against more than 200 teams, Mahe and Blaine delivered an outstanding performance, defeating several American Rugby Academies before claiming the Championship title with a Grand Final win against Atlantis.
This experience was not only a tremendous sporting achievement but also a valuable opportunity for personal growth, cultural exposure, and creating lifelong memories, including watching the Phoenix Suns NBA Game, visiting Universal Studios, beach visits, and more. We are incredibly proud of Mahe, Blaine, and their teammates.

On Monday, 20 April, we hosted an interschool choir workshop at King’s Pimpama, bringing students together from all three campuses. The day focused on developing vocal skills, learning new techniques, and collaborating through joyful song. It was a wonderful celebration of creativity, community, and the shared passion of our young musicians.

Our Year 5–7 students came together at King’s Pimpama Campus for an inspiring King's Intercampus Challenge Day, with teams competing across all three campuses.
Students tackled a range of academic and creative challenges, including the Rube Goldberg Challenge, where teams designed and built machines to launch an object the furthest. Congratulations to the Reedy Creek Year 7 team, who took out this win!
Teams also worked through practice papers aligned with the 2026 Da Vinci Decathlon theme - Machines & Mechanics, sharpening their problem‑solving and teamwork skills. Our Creative Challenge saw students bring a secret mission to life through art, poetry and drama. Well done to the Logan Village Year 6 team for their creative impromptu drama.
A huge congratulations to the Pimpama Year 7 team, who were crowned overall winners, with each team member receiving a trophy. In the spirit of excellence, individual medallions were awarded to one student from each team, celebrating collaboration and academic citizenship.
An outstanding day of creativity, critical thinking and collaboration was had by all ahead of the upcoming state Da Vinci Decathlon!

Be part of a truly special moment as we present the first-ever outdoor candlelit concert in King’s history, taking place at our Reedy Creek Campus on the 28th May from 7pm. Set beneath the night sky and surrounded by the warm glow of candlelight, this unforgettable evening will showcase the exceptional talent of our cross-campus ensemble, the King’s Camerata.
The program will feature a stunning variety of music, from timeless classics to uplifting worship songs, brought to life by these remarkable musicians. Highlights of the evening include a special flautist joining our Orchestra, a beautiful piano solo by Michelle, and captivating vocal performances. This concert is more than just a performance; it’s a night to celebrate the incredible hard work and talent of these musicians. All proceeds will support the King’s Camerata as they prepare for their upcoming cultural exchange tour to Japan and Korea at the end of the year.
