Foundational Values

The King's Foundational Values of Learn Passionately, Live Purposefully, Love Faithfully and Lead Diligently are the basis of the character traits which we seek to develop in our students. Each of these are informed by a founding scripture.

Learn Passionately

Excellence

With God's help, I give my personal best to everything I do and am willing to work hard.

"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things."

Curiosity

With God's help, I explore and discover. I learn by asking questions and investigating new ideas.

"The mind of the intelligent and discerning seeks knowledge and eagerly inquires after it, but the mouth of the [stubborn] fool feeds on foolishness"

Perseverance

With God's help, I overcome obstacles by not giving up when things get hard. I will not quit.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."

Live Purposefully

Courage

With God's help, I am brave when met with difficult choices or new experiences.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Wisdom

With God's help, I am sensible to hear what is good and then do it.

"But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace, loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favouritism and is always sincere."

Aspiration

With God's help, I am moving in the right direction and motivated to achieve my goals.

"I can do all this through Him who gives me strength."

Love Faithfully

Compassion

With God's help, I take action to show care and lift others up.

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

- Ephesians 4:32

Respect

With God's help, I am obedient and courteous.

"Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honour the King"

- 1 Peter 2:17

Grace

With God's help, I can show others the unconditional love that God has shown me.

"Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."

Lead Diligently

Integrity

With God's help, I tell the truth and do what is right, even when no one is looking.

"Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out."

- Proverbs 10:9

Humility

With God's help, I give all the glory to God. I listen to and learn from others; giving God credit for my achievements.

"Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves."

Self Control

With God's help, I take charge of my thoughts, feelings and actions..

"So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control"
