Learning Philosophy & Framework

Teaching and learning play a vital role in shaping Christian leaders for tomorrow's generation. This mission is achieved through developing wisdom, character and responsibility, the defining qualities of a whole-life learner. We achieve this mission by cultivating learners who grow in curiosity, perseverance and excellence, all grounded in a biblical worldview.

Guided by the Science of Learning (SoL), we recognise that effective teaching is holistic, engaging cognitive, emotional, and motivational domains, underscoring the heart, soul and mind of every student (Matthew 22:37).

Our teachers use evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality curriculum and assessment that respond to students' diverse needs and interests. Through this contemporary and Christ-centred approach, we aspire that every student flourishes beyond their schooling journey.

The King's Learning Pathway 

The King's Learning Pathway provides a conceptual framework to inform the design and delivery of inclusive, engaging and accessible educational programs. It represents learning as a dynamic continuum shaped by curiosity, perseverance, and excellence.

The pathway recognises that learning progresses at different rates and in different ways according to students' diverse needs and interests. Teachers navigate the pathway through reflective practice, using assessment data, student voice, engagement feedback, and wellbeing insights to inform next steps during learning.
