See you there!
Year 2 recently enjoyed an exciting excursion to the Logan Village Museum. Students loved exploring objects from the past and learning about some of the early settlers who moved to the area in the 1800’s. There was plenty of excitement as they discovered so many interesting things to look at, and they asked lots of thoughtful questions throughout the visit. It was a wonderful hands‑on learning experience that brought history to life.
Congratulations to our high school students for securing winning positions in their divisions during the in-house Chess Tournament held since Term 1! Eight teams are excited to represent the College once again at the Gardiner Interschool Chess Tournament in Week 4.

During the Easter school holidays, we held our incredible Firestarters 2026 camp! Students from prep to year 6 came together for an unforgettable experience focused on the beautiful message that God turns our mess into masterpieces.
In addition to the meaningful teachings, we had a blast with all the fun tribe games and creative craft activities! It was wonderful to see everyone bonding, laughing, and expressing their creativity together.
A huge thank you to our amazing kids pastor, our dedicated chaplains, and everyone who contributed to making this camp such a memorable event.
Thursday was our first chapel for term 2! We delved into the inspiring stories of the prophets Elisha and Elijah, discovering how God can use anyone to fulfil His purpose.
On Friday 24, April we held our ANZAC service, a solemn occasion to honour and remember those who served our country—a heartfelt thank you to our special dignitaries for their presence and support. Mr Ali Alimi, representing the Federal Member for Forde, Mr Rowan Holzberger, and Mrs Kerry Menke from Logan Village RSL, also attended, adding significance to the ceremony. It was a meaningful gathering that reminded us all of the bravery and sacrifice of our servicemen and women, lest we forget.
Term 2 has officially begun! It was wonderful to see our returning King's families and warmly welcome new families. The students' smiling faces and excitement for school were truly heartwarming!
On Monday, 20 April, we hosted an inspiring interschool choir workshop at Primpama. Students from all 3 campuses came together to enhance their vocal skills, learn new techniques, and collaborate on joyful songs. The event fostered a sense of community and creativity, showcasing the talent and passion of young musicians.
Kendra Jacobs and Chloe Waldon proudly represented our school at the Interschools SEQ Regionals this past weekend.
The girls performed exceptionally well and had a wonderful time. They also enjoyed camping with friends and their ponies, which made the experience even more special. The Junior Committee organised a pizza night and some fun hobby horse games that the kids really enjoyed.
Kendra had remarkable results, earning the title of Champion Overall in the Primary Preliminary and Reserve Champion Overall in the Primary Novice.
Chloe also had great success, taking home the Champion Overall title in both the Primary 70cm and Primary 80cm classes on her new pony, Hope.
We’re incredibly proud of their achievements and how well they represented our school. Both girls are now fully qualified for the state competition in June.

Dear Kings College Family and Friends
My name is Gail Aiken from XCEL Pickleball. XCEL is a values driven organisation. I do what I do because I am passionate about helping people discover how our purpose is connected to an unmistakable truth - there is no other human being on earth like you. As a professional pickleball coach, it has been my joy to deliver team building with corporates, clinics for clubs, schools, churches, businesses, communities and over-50s resorts. I have worked with people of all ages and abilities across Australia and witnessed extraordinary outcomes as participants realize their capabilities, and how valued they are within the community. I am grateful to the Yarrabilba State Secondary College for their invitation to use their stadium to introduce pickleball into Yarrabilba.
We hope to meet many of you at our next Family Fun Event.
