Serving the St George Community

Pimpama06 February 2026

Earlier this term, 30 students and 7 staff travelled to St George for a five-day missions trip, partnering with the local community through outreach, practical service, school programs, and church ministry.

Students supported local residents through manual labour projects, connected with students from St George State High School, and helped lead the Friday night youth event, Wildfire, which welcomed around 100 attendees.

Throughout the week, students stepped into opportunities to lead worship, share testimonies, and serve during the Sunday church service. The experience encouraged students to grow in faith, confidence, and servant-hearted leadership while strengthening relationships within the team and broader community.

Scott M. (Year 10) shared:
“My favourite part of the trip was visiting the school and building connections with the students there. Another highlight was witnessing two of my peers get baptised. The trip brought us closer together as friends and strengthened our understanding of serving others.”

Ella-Grace G. (Year 11) reflected:
“One of my favourite parts was visiting the schools and connecting with the students there. I was also honoured to speak at a church service, which became an experience I will never forget. The trip helped all of us grow closer together while serving others and creating memories that will stay with me for a long time.”
