Year 2 students recently enjoyed an exciting excursion to the Botanic Gardens and Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium, connecting their science learning with the natural world and the wonders of space.
The day began in the gardens with an I Spy search activity. Working together, students explored their surroundings, made careful observations and searched for a variety of plants and natural features. The activity encouraged curiosity while strengthening their observation skills.
Following our time in the gardens, students visited the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium, where they were immersed in the wonders of space. Through captivating displays and an engaging planetarium show, students deepened their understanding of our Solar System and explored the fascinating world beyond Earth. The excursion provided an enriching hands-on learning experience that supported our current Science studies and inspired students' curiosity about space and the natural world.
