King’s Community Care has been an emergency food relief agency in Reedy Creek for 35 years, providing free food assistance to individuals and families in need. With the support of our partners and local supermarkets, we distribute food boxes that include rescued produce, donated frozen meat, and home-cooked frozen meals.
During 2025, we packed and distributed more than 9,195 family boxes. We also partner with the clothing charity Thread Together to provide brand-new, quality clothing to vulnerable members of our community. Through our Mobile Wardrobe van, we deliver these essential items directly to people across Southern Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
Our 11-year-old Op Shop offers affordable goods and furniture to the local community, further supporting those experiencing hardship.
We have also established expressions of King’s Community Care across other campuses and branches, carefully working alongside existing charities and partnering with local businesses whenever opportunities arise.
