Book Week is always one of our library's most anticipated events, and this year's theme, Symphony of Stories, provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate the imagination and creativity of stories.
To mark the occasion, our library was transformed into a vibrant literary space inspired by music and storytelling. Library staff embraced the theme by dressing as music conductors, helping to bring the concept of a symphony of stories to life for our students.
A special highlight of the week was the visit from two High School music ensembles, who performed during primary lunch breaks for our Year 4 to Year 6 students.
Their wonderful performances created a lively atmosphere and demonstrated how music, like stories, can inspire, entertain, and connect people.
Throughout the week, students enthusiastically participated in a variety of library competitions, showcasing their creativity and love of reading.
These activities encouraged students to engage with books in new and exciting ways while celebrating the joy that stories bring to our lives.
On Wednesday, we proudly celebrated Australian School Library Day, recognising the important role our library and library staff play in supporting learning across the school.
It was a special opportunity to acknowledge how libraries help students discover the joy of reading, develop a love of learning, and explore new ideas and perspectives.
Book Week 2026 was a fantastic celebration of stories, music, and imagination. We thank all students, staff, and special guests who helped make the week such a memorable success.
