On Thursday, 15 October, the LIFE Team came together to host our High School Festival Lunch in support of Beautiful Crazy. The day was filled with excitement and community spirit, featuring a Best Dressed competition, a Christmas Treat Competition, a delicious barbecue, and an incredible Christmas concert. Most importantly, every dollar raised will go directly towards providing care packages for families with loved ones in intensive care units.
We had some incredible entries in this year’s Christmas Treat Competition. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to bake and share their delicious creations. Congratulations to our wonderful winners:
1st Place: Holly H., Ella H. and Harry H.
2nd Place: Poppy-Rose R. and Avery B.
3rd Place: Maizie L. and Trinity B.
Highly Commended: Hayley R., Ruby M., Avronia M., Liona S., Ariana G., Asher M. and Grace B.
Our students did a phenomenal job throughout the event, demonstrating outstanding teamwork, leadership and service.
A special congratulations goes to our 2027 LIFE Captains and Prefects, who stepped confidently into their new leadership roles and helped make the day such a wonderful success.
Their enthusiasm and dedication were evident in every aspect of the event.
We were also honoured to welcome some very special guests. Pastor Ross Abraham and Kathy Abraham, the founders of Beautiful Crazy, joined us for the day and shared in the celebrations. It was a privilege to have them with us and to learn more about the incredible impact their ministry has on families facing difficult circumstances. We were also delighted to host LIFE students from our Logan and Pimpama campuses, who visited to see how our events are run and to connect with students across campuses.
Another exciting initiative currently underway is Operation Christmas Child. This global project, run by Samaritan’s Purse, sends gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world, along with a message of hope through the Gospel. Our students have been enthusiastically bringing donations to their PC classes and lessons, working together to pack shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene items and other thoughtful gifts. It has been encouraging to see so many students generously contributing to help make Christmas special for children who may otherwise go without. Last year, as a school community, we packed 211 shoeboxes, and we are excited to see how many we can provide this year.
