Our 5th annual Easter Fest was a wonderful success, made possible by the incredible support of King’s staff, students, and families. This year’s 2026 theme, Believe, invited us to reflect on what it truly means to believe, as we came together to celebrate Jesus and our shared faith.
The campus was filled with a vibrant sense of joy, purpose, and belonging as families gathered throughout the King’s Table forecourt, Prep Centre, and Primary building. The Auditorium came alive with an outstanding showcase of performing arts, featuring our talented King’s student musicians and their dedicated tutors, whose hard work resulted in a polished and engaging program enjoyed by all.
Our art displays were buzzing with creativity and energy, showcasing a range of student artwork alongside interactive art and craft activities, including the much‑loved Easter Egg Scramble Hunt.
We sincerely thank our King’s families for joining us in celebrating Jesus this Easter and for helping make this community event such a joyful and memorable occasion.

It was wonderful to celebrate our Year 12 students who have successfully completed their Diploma of Business. This is a significant achievement and reflects their dedication and commitment to their studies. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and look forward to seeing the exciting pathways they pursue beyond school.

KTTC Student Highlight
Name: Max S
Year: 10
This week, KTTC’s Year 10 students are undertaking the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in their chosen fields of future employment. Max has chosen to spend the 2-week work experience placement at a local construction company, working alongside industry professionals and learning what day-to-day life looks like on the job as a carpenter.
During his placement so far, Max has learned practical skills such as demolishing walls to be rebuilt and preparing scaffolding. This is the perfect opportunity to gain insight into important workplace practices, safety procedures, teamwork and tool handling.
A huge thank you to the local employers for supporting our KTTC students and helping them build industry-ready skills, which is one of our main focuses.

Our Year 10 KTTC trade students have embarked on an exciting two-week work experience program, gaining valuable hands-on insight into a range of industries. From bathroom renovations and electrical work to hairdressing and beyond, students are immersing themselves in real-world trade environments and developing practical skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
We are incredibly proud to share that the feedback from employers so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Many have commented on our students’ excellent manners, strong work ethic, and willingness to take initiative.
This experience is an important step in helping students explore potential career pathways while building confidence and independence in professional settings.

The last two weeks have been a busy and exciting time for our Year 11 and 12 Sports Development students, who have taken part in a range of valuable practical learning experiences.
Our Year 12 students assisted at the Miami State School Cross Country event, where they played an important role in supporting the smooth running of the day. Their tasks included checking off place winners, managing checkpoints along the course, motivating younger students during the run, and assisting with the pack‑down of the event. The students demonstrated responsibility, teamwork, and a strong sense of leadership throughout the event.
Meanwhile, our Year 11 students visited the Gold Coast Suns training facility at People First Stadium, where they had the opportunity to observe an elite AFL training session. Students watched the Suns complete their warm‑up and skills‑based training drills and were able to view parts of the professional training facilities. This experience provided valuable insight into high‑performance sport and the standards expected at an elite level.
Both experiences have been excellent opportunities for students to extend their learning beyond the classroom while developing practical skills and a deeper understanding of the sporting industry.
We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of 2025 graduate Josiah Galer, whose film Unwind has been selected for exhibition at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) as part of the 2026 Creative Generation Excellence Awards.
Josiah is one of just 40 students from across Queensland chosen for this prestigious exhibition, which opened on March 28 and will run until September 13, 2026. His work was selected from a highly competitive pool of more than 470 submissions representing 164 schools, making this recognition an exceptional accomplishment so early in his artistic career.
The Creative Generation Excellence Awards highlight the very best in student visual art, showcasing works that explore powerful themes such as identity, family stories, and personal perspectives on the world. The exhibition features a diverse range of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, and experimental materials—reflecting the creativity and technical skill of emerging young artists like Josiah.
During his time at school, Josiah demonstrated a deep commitment to his artistic practice, consistently producing thoughtful and innovative work. His selection for this exhibition is a testament not only to his talent and dedication but also to the strong foundation developed through his visual art education.
Queensland’s Minister for Education and the Arts, John-Paul Langbroek, described the exhibition as a celebration of excellence in visual art education and an important platform for nurturing the next generation of artists.
We congratulate Josiah on this remarkable achievement and look forward to seeing where his creative journey takes him next. His success is an inspiration to our current students and a proud moment for our school community.
Looking forward to next term, in addition to the continuation of bringing year 6 students to Crossroads, the Life team will be putting on their annual Superhero Day in the Primary school and Teen Challenge Jersey Day in the High school. The team is looking forward to partnering with the King’s Community in support of these wonderful charities.
