The Trilogy Projects' Resounding Success

Triology Projects 2023 10

Last week, King's inaugural Trilogy Projects were performed to a full auditorium of family and friends over two captivating nights. These performances culminated six months' work for our Year 7 - 12 students who wrote and performed new and original theatrical works for our school community. And now, from this performance season, we are excited to take each show to the Gold Coast Secondary Schools Drama Fest (GCSSDF) to compete against other high schools in our region.

Thanks also to all our parents and families who supported the students throughout the process and for attending these very special performances. We’re so grateful for all the ‘little’ things you do to allow your child to participate in these memorable events.

We must also thank our industry partners: Helen Stephens from Dead Puppet Society, Hayden and Sam from Shock Therapy Arts, and David Burton, an internationally renowned Verbatim playwright and dramaturg who all worked with our various ensembles to give them extraordinary skills and insights into devising, refining, curating and polishing script content before then rehearsing and staging theatrical works. Without a doubt, our students will have fond memories of these experiences and activities for many years to come and can now build upon these lessons within our Drama curriculum as well.
