King’s Pimpama launched its Esports Club earlier this year, with more than 30 students signing up to participate.
On 29 May, four students—Jayden, Riley, Emilio and Ryan—proudly represented King’s at the FUSE Cup. This international school-based esports competition provides students with a safe, inclusive and structured environment in which to compete and connect with others.
The team achieved an impressive result in King’s first esports competition. Two students advanced to the knockout round, with one continuing through to the quarterfinals.
Students enjoyed testing their skills against competitors from other schools and valued the opportunity to meet fellow gamers from across the Gold Coast. Throughout the event, they demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, dedication and encouragement towards one another.
Congratulations to all four students on a fantastic debut. The Esports Club is now looking forward to its next competition—the Mario Kart tournament in September—and we are excited to see what our students accomplish next.
